Bible Study - Fall 2011
Our Fall 2011 Guys and Girls' bible studies begin Tuesday, August 30th, at 7:30 at the Wallace Home. We're kicking off the school year with a delicious cook-out and party. Then, on Tuesday, September 6th, the regular Bible study will resume.
A note on the icon: The icon to the left, the Christ Pantokrator (Christ - Ruler of All) shows Christ holding a large, closed book in his left hand while making a symbol with his right hand. The book he holds are the Scriptures, Old and New Testament, which only Christ, as the Author and Content of the Scriptures, can unlock. The right hand is stretched out in a symbol which shows Christ engaged in teaching us. From this icon we gain a useful model for Bible study: we approach the Scriptures knowing that Christ is the key to unlocking them, and we study the Scriptures knowing that Christ is actively teaching us any time we open His Word. Join us to learn this Fall to learn at the Master's feet!

Bible Study Groups
5:00 - 6:00pm - Dinner for $1 in the Parish Hall of St. Peter's. (Dinners are not happening right now - they will resume September 14th)
7:30 - 9:00pm - Discipleship & Bible Study Groups at the Wallace House.
Girls' Bible Study -
Jesus in the Gospel of John
Join the girls this fall as they study the Fourth Gospel, the Gospel of John. As we read the Gospel, we will encounter the God of Glory in the face of Jesus Christ, and we will prayerfully seek to become more like the God we meet in Jesus.
Guys Bible Study -
Jonah and James
Join the guys as they embark on a journey with Jonah into the heart of the whale, and the heart of Gospel. After we wrap up Jonah, we'll study the book of James in order to learn more of how to live the Christian life.
After the study the guys and girls will fellowship over a delicious, home-made dessert.
Ashley Wallace and Kris Bowers will lead the Women's Discipleship and Bible study group.
Fr. John Wallace, Phil Bowers and Rob De La Noval will lead the Men's Discipleship and Bible study group.
