Final Evening Prayer at Richmond Place - July 12, 2011

Picture
On Tuesday, July 12th, the ACM hosted its final Evening Prayer at Rob's house at Richmond Place. It's been two years now since Fr. John blessed the house to be a place of hospitality and prayer, and God has faithfully answered those prayers by granting us two wonderful years of Evening Prayer at Richmond Place. Below are some pictures of the event. For more information on Evening Prayer, click here.

Beach Bonanza with the Blue Angels - July 9th, 2011

Picture
On Saturday, July 9th, the Anglican college group took a trip to Pensacola, FL where we saw the elegant and astounding Blue Angels' air show. After the show we spent the rest of the day enjoying the hot sand and cool Pensacola waters. We'll be taking more beach trips soon, so stay in tune by joining our facebook page.

Stations of the Cross - Spring 2011

Picture
Every Friday during Lent, the Anglican college group gathered on Landis Green to walk the stations of the cross with our crucified Lord. It was a moving time for all involved as we entered more deeply into the mystery of Jesus' passion and God's love for the world.

Life Changing Movies!

Have you ever seen a movie and realized at the end of it that your life will never be the same? (We're not talking about Ironman or Bring it On or Alien Vs. Predator 'Whoever wins...we lose...') These are movies that are not only entertaining, but are also deeply moving. They resonate deep within your heart and speak profoundly to the deepest questions of life. We LOVE those kinds of movies and this Fall we're going to be enjoying some of those movies together.

Keep up to date by joining our facebook group: Anglican College Ministry

We'll let you know when the next Life Changing Movie event happens!

Worship at St. Peter's

St. Peter's offers opportunities to worship on Sundays and Wednesdays.

Our Sunday Worship Services
On Sundays we meet for worship at 9:00am, 11:15am, and 5:00pm.

Family Service @ 9:00am
Our 9:00am service is our largest and is attended by people of all ages. Most families find this to be a natural fit. After the service, children and adults can go to Sunday School for all ages. This service features organ and full choir. It is rooted in the Eucharistic liturgy of the Book of Common Prayer. No incense is used at this service except on high holy days.

Traditional Service @ 11:15am
Our 11:15am service is our most traditional service. It is a favorite among students and others who are drawn to the traditional liturgies of the church. This service features organ and full choir. Like the 9:00am service, it is rooted in the Eucharistic liturgy of the Book of Common Prayer. Incense is used at this service every Sunday.

VERITAS Contemporary Service @ 5:00pm
Our 5:00pm service is our most contemporary service at St. Peter's. While still rooted in the Eucharistic liturgy of the Book of Common Prayer, our worship is accompanied by the best of today's music. Fr. John leads our worship each Sunday and Taylor Bodoh, the InterVarsity Staff Worker at FSU, leads the music. The atmosphere is casual yet reverent, comfortable yet holy. All worshipers are welcome!

If you are interested in serving on the music team or as a reader, acolyte, usher, chalice bearer, or on the altar guild, please contact Fr. John. We'd love to get you involved! Fr.JohnWallace@gmail.com

Gorge for a George/Dinner for $1 @ 6:30pm

College students are invited to stay after the Veritas service for fellowship and dinner for only $1. We usually go out for Decent Pizza, but sometimes we are treated to a home cooked meal prepared by the parishioners of Saint Peter's.

Wednesday Worship Services

Noonday Eucharist and Healing Service @ 12:10 PM

This reverent prayer and Eucharistic service is an excellent midweek respite from the stress and cares of the world. There is no music at this service. After the Eucharist, you are invited to receive the laying on of hands and the sacrament of Holy Unction for healing of body, mind, soul.
